This tangential flow impeller is effective for low speed, high viscosity mixing. The 51 x 51 mm (2 x 2 in) anchor blade is welded to an 8 mm (⁵⁄₁₆ in) diameter shaft, all electropolished 316L stainless steel. Sometimes referred to as a “sweep”, the high shear at the edges makes it a good choice to use close to the vessel wall.
