Delta Scientific Marks 40 Years in Service to the Scientific Community

In 1985, Delta Scientific opened its doors with a simple goal: to support scientists with reliable access to the equipment and supplies they needed to push discovery forward.

Forty years later, that goal remains the same, but almost everything else has changed.

We are proud to celebrate our 40th anniversary this year, marking four decades of partnership with the laboratory and research community across Canada and North America. What began as a small, responsive distributor as a family business has grown into a trusted and agile organization, supporting labs of every size with a broad portfolio of products and services tailored to the evolving needs of the industry.

Our Progression With The Industry

In the early days, Delta operated by fax and phone. Orders were manual, and the range of available products was far more limited. Today, Delta offers a fully digital experience, a rapidly expanding product catalogue, and access to bespoke solutions — from custom standards to specialised technical support. And while technology has evolved, one thing hasn’t changed: customers can still speak directly to a real person whenever they need to efficiently manage their enquiries, no matter how big or small.

This evolution hasn’t happened in isolation. As the scientific community has grown more sophisticated, so too has Delta, continuously investing in new technologies, processes, and partnerships to meet the changing expectations of modern labs.

To mark the occasion, we are celebrating “Four Decades of Innovation” , a celebration not just of the company’s longevity, but of the scientific progress it has proudly supported. The campaign will reflect key milestones in Delta’s journey, with a digital history book and special landing page launch later this year.

The campaign’s theme, “The Element of Success,” plays on the theme of Delta as a vital element in the lab, a constant presence contributing to the success of science over the last 40 years.
