A bottle-top dispenser designed for hydrofluoric acid
Standard bottle-top dispensers use borosilicate glass, which hydrofluoric acid dissolves. The witeg LABMAX HF avoids the problem with a piston and cylinder system made from HF-resistant materials with high-grade PTFE, Platinum/Iridium and sapphire components. The result is stable, repeatable dispensing of one of the most hazardous reagents in the lab.
This 1.0-10.0 mL model is suited to accurate, small-volume dispensing in trace analysis and other demanding applications. It is manufactured in Germany by witeg.
Key features
- HF-resistant construction: PTFE, platinum/iridium and sapphire components withstand hydrofluoric acid.
- 100% drip-free system: Reduces the risk of accidental contact with acid.
- Automatic air purging: Air is diverted through a dedicated channel, so the dispenser is ready to measure after just two strokes and you waste less reagent.
- 360° rotatable valve block: Lets you position the discharge tube where it suits your workspace.
- 180° anti-drip lock: Keeps the dispenser sealed when not in use.
- Adjustable volume: Set the volume with the adjustment screw (0.2 mL numeric division).
- GL 32 thread with adapters included: Fits a wide range of reagent bottles.
Ideal for
- Dispensing hydrofluoric acid in trace analysis and sample preparation
- Laboratories that need a safer alternative to glass-based dispensers for HF
- Routine, repeatable dispensing of aggressive reagents
